E&J Energy Solutions was introduced to The Morgan Group by their utility provider Infinity Power Partners to take a look at the 24/7 parking garage at one of their premier properties at 2121 Mid Lane in Houston, TX. The issue was the existing lighting system was nearing the end of its useful life and there was interest in upgrading to LED fixtures. The existing system had a combination of Metal Halide for general purpose lighting and strip fluorescents with emergency battery packs for egress all to be swapped out one for one to new LED fixtures.
Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare recently held the grand opening of their new facility at 233 Sgt Ed Holcomb Blvd in Conroe, Texas. The new service location, with more than 90,000 square feet of office space, will be used to provide services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people with mental illnesses and people with substance use disorders.
E&J Energy Solutions, LLC was brought in prior to construction to review the lighting plans for the project at the request of Mike Duncum the owner of Whitestone Realty which was the developer. Jeff Baldwin and Eric Reeves worked with Mike to carefully analyze the drawings and provide options for the design team to consider. E&J were able to cross reference over the specified LED fixtures to Deco thus achieving an additional $10k per year in energy savings over the original design. We were successful in doing so by using higher efficacy fixtures which in turn lowered the connected kW load. Additionally, our fixture package saved the developer over $80k for the costs of the entire fixture package while providing them with a 10yr warranty that includes labor costs versus the 5yr warranty for the specified fixtures. E&J supplied the fixtures to the developer and general contractor and provided onsite construction administration support during construction process. E&J was also tasked by Mike with designing and supplying the exterior building up-lighting system.
